Seawalls are continuously exposed to many elements, and issues related to erosion are nearly inevitable.  The rise and fall of the tide and water run-off from the land can result in water sweeping away the sand and soils surrounding seawalls.  This outflow of soil often causes undermining of the structure, the formation of voids within the soils behind the seawall, and even large sinkholes.  Carolina Foundation Solutions specializes in addressing the voids and sinkholes behind and around seawalls using methods of injecting a range of Alchemy Spetec products.

The injection of polyurethane foam, such as Alchemy Spetec’s AP700 can be used to seal cracks in seawalls, fill voids within the soils, and stabilize the soils surrounding seawalls.  AP700 is a semi-rigid hydro-phobic polyurethane foam that reacts with water and moisture in the soil.  It expands to fill voids while also permeating sandy soils to form a solid, strong, watertight mass.
