I-85 Soil Screw Wall System

Installed a series of temporary shoring walls at highway exits.

Carolina Foundation Solutions, LLC completed a bridge improvement project over I-85 South near Blacksburg, SC installing a series of temporary shoring walls at exits 100, 102 and 104. Approximately 80 soil screws were installed at exit 100, 100 soil screws were installed at exit 102 and 70 soil screws were installed at exit 104. The general contractor made 5 ft cuts along the length of the shored area (the lift) and soils screws were installed every 5 ft. by Carolina Foundation Solutions. The wall was then covered with a welded wire fabric and 4 inches of shotcrete.
