Marine Bulkhead & Seawall Construction, Shoring & Repair Services
Whether it’s lateral stability needed for the construction of new bulkheads and seawalls or lateral stability needed for existing bulkheads and seawalls, Carolina Foundation Solutions has the experience and ability to get the job done. Carolina Foundation Solutions specializes in the installation of CHANCE Helical Tieback Anchors, which are proven to be the most effective system available for providing lateral stability for bulkheads and seawalls.
We’re equipped to overcome the challenges of adverse site conditions. The helical anchors can be installed from land or water, and don’t require the excavation of soils, or the use of grout or concrete. The helical anchor load capacity is easily verified by the amount of torque applied. The anchors can be immediately tensioned and tested without the need for cure time.

CHANCE Helical Tieback Anchors
CHANCE Helical Tieback Anchors are utilized for marine applications, such as seawall repair, as well as the new construction of seawalls, bulkheads, docks, boardwalks, and mooring anchors. They’re proven to be the best system available for providing lateral support for both seawall and bulkhead repair as well as new seawall and new bulkhead construction and are engineered to meet your specific project needs.
Helical tieback anchors are a superior choice for marine construction because they can be installed quickly and tensioned immediately for speedy construction. Helical anchors are classified as soil anchors and loads are developed based upon the capacity of the soil behind the wall. Holding capacity is proportional to installation torque. CHANCE helical anchors are engineered to provide versatility in application in order to conform to specific project soil conditions.
Soil Stabilization & Void Filling With Polyurethane Foam Injection
Seawalls are continuously exposed to many elements, and issues related to erosion are nearly inevitable. The rise and fall of the tide and water runoff from the land can result in water sweeping away the sand and soils surrounding seawalls. This outflow of soil often causes undermining of the structure, the formation of voids within the soils behind the seawall, and even large sinkholes. Carolina Foundation Solutions specializes in addressing the voids and sinkholes behind and around seawalls using methods of injecting a range of Alchemy Spetec products.
The injection of polyurethane foam, such as Alchemy Spetec’s AP700 can be used to seal cracks in seawalls, fill voids within the soils, and stabilize the soils surrounding seawalls. AP700 is a semi-rigid hydro-phobic polyurethane foam that reacts with water and moisture in the soil. It expands to fill voids while also permeating sandy soils to form a solid, strong, watertight mass.
